Monday, March 3
10 p.m. “Pilot” – TV-MA-LSV
Holly Hunter stars as Grace Hanadarko, a tormented, fast-living Oklahoma City police detective whose philosophy to life is white-heat living. After seeing tremendous tragedy in her life, both professionally and personally, Grace lives life hard and fast. And she never slows down, even in the midst of a race-against-the-clock search for a young girl who has been abducted. It all catches up with Grace one night when, as she’s driving too fast after too many drinks, she hits a man who is walking along the road. In an uncharacteristic moment, Grace asks for help, and she gets it – in the form an unconventional angel named Earl (Leon Rippy), who tells her that she is in trouble and running out of chances, but he wants to help lead her back to the right path. The journey, for both of them, will not be an easy one.
11 p.m. “Bring It On, Earl” – TV-MA-LSV
The detectives investigate the murder of an oilman who may have been the victim of anti-oil activists, or he may have been murdered by someone a little closer to home. Lt. Yukon’s brother, who is constantly in trouble, is brought in as an informant on the case, dredging up old wounds. Meanwhile, after continued visits from Earl, Grace ties to prove her strength by challenging him to a wrestling match. Her relationship with Ham becomes strained after he finds out about her past relationship with Butch. Ham is also being forced to spend the night elsewhere after his wife begins to suspect his affair with Grace.
Tuesday, March 4
10 p.m. “And You Wonder Why I Lie” – TV-MA-LSV
A young woman in a nurse’s uniform is found dead with a newspaper from eight days ago stuffed into her mouth. It turns out she was a reporter working on a story about call girls who wear costumes for their clients. But that’s only the tip of the iceberg for what Grace will discover in the case. Meanwhile, Earl starts calling Grace out about her lying. It even arises as an issue that could tear apart Grace’s friendship with Rhetta.
11 p.m. “Yeehaw, Geepaw” – TV-MA-LSV
The body of a Native American veteran, just home from the war in Iraq, is found buried face down in a shallow grave in the woods. Such a burial is intended to condemn the soul of the victim, according to Native American belief. Grace seeks advice on the case from her Native American grandfather, Geepaw, and is shocked to learn he is suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease and in need of constant supervision.
Wednesday, March 5
10 p.m. “Is There a Scarlet Letter on My Breast?” – TV-MA-LSV
A court trial for the murderer of a young woman is about to begin, and the brash defense attorney must go over the entire investigation with a fine-toothed comb, even if it means digging into the officers’ personal lives. Grace’s own sex life is put on display for all to see just as she is supposed to attend her nephew Clay’s upcoming confirmation. And Grace’s partner, Ham, decides to make his true feelings known to Grace.
11 p.m. “Tacos, Tulips, Ducks and Spices” – TV-MA-LSV
Pictures of Grace’s sister, Paige, talking to an unknown man are found in a burned vehicle. At first, Grace suspects that Paige is having an affair, but later she uncovers a different story about the man in the photos. Rhetta tries to make sense of the various items Earl has left behind for Grace and soon discovers the shocking truth that devastates Grace and forces her to face her painful past.
