ABC reality shows renewed

ABC decides to keep it real.

Five of ABC's reality shows have been renewed for next season: "Dancing With the Stars," "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," "America's Funniest Home Videos," "Supernanny" and "Wife Swap."

"Dancing With the Stars" will return for a seventh cycle in the fall. Not surprising since this show consistently comes in just under "American Idol" in the ratings. It's a true winner for ABC.

Tom Bergeron does double duty as the host on "America's Funniest Home Videos," which will enter an unprecedented 19th season next fall. "Home Videos" has already entered the history books as the longest-running entertainment primetime skein in ABC history (only behind "20/20" and "Monday Night Football" overall).

"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" will enter its sixth season next fall with Ty Pennington hosting.

Slightly surprising are the returns of "Wife Swap" and "Supernanny" both of which thrive on showing up bad behavior.

Apparently reality still rules.
