Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony are the happy new parents of twins, a boy, and a girl. Lopez manager confirmed to People the babies were born early Friday in Long Island, New York. Their 5-pound and 7-ounce baby girl arrived at 12:12 a.m. and the 6-pound baby brother popped out 11 minutes later at 12:23 a.m. According to Page Six the singer gave birth at North Shore University Hospital in a private room that had “been sitting empty for two weeks” in preparation for the twin’s arrival.
“Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon,” Lopez’s manager Simon Fields told the magazine. While they’re the first kids for 38-year-old J Lo, they’re numbers 4 and 5 for Marc, who has a daughter and two sons from two previous relationships.
Lopez tried to hide her pregnancy but finally confirmed speculation in November during a concert in Miami, — it was the last stop on the couple’s joint U.S. tour.
“Marc and I are expecting a baby,” she told the crowd. “We didn’t want to say anything before because we didn’t want to take away from the tour. This is a special time in our lives. And we waited until the last show to tell you.” She then said that she and Marc would now “go away for a while.”
