The top 10 grossing films of 2007

The ticket tallies have completed for the year in film 2007. As the summer began, entertainment pundits were asking if America was ready for a calvalcade of cinematic threes. The trilogy came to an end for a slew of audience’s favorite characters and despite a repeated slamming from critics – droves of people could not get enough of cinematic threes.

The esteemed list of three-quels that dominated the charts includes at least one that made SheKnows Top 10 Films of 2007, “The Bourne Ultimatum” at number six.

Four of the ten films were third installments of trilogies. One was the fifth episode of the series, two were based on television animated cartoons and the last, I don’t know what to call it – except a mid-life crisis movie lightning in a bottle that was “Wild Hogs.”
