Jessica Alba may not be able to throw her lookalike daughter Honor Warren the birthday party of her dreams, but that doesn’t mean the proud mom is letting the occasion go by without celebrating. Honor turned 12 this June, and mom Alba is now sharing photos of how they spent the day with dad Cash Warren, little sister Haven, and baby brother Hayes. We’ve seen plenty of parents get creative with their kids’ lockdown birthdays, from drive-by birthday parades to FaceTime parties and more. What did Alba opt for? A little bit of everything.
Alba shared a series of photos from Alba’s special day on Instagram, reflecting in the caption on the silver lining of this quarantine that parents have pointed out time and time again: this rare, uninterrupted time with your kids. “Leaning into family and finding moments of joy with our baby Honor’s 12th Birthday 🎂,” Alba writes. “So proud of who she is today and I’m so blessed that her sweet soul chose me to be her mama.”
We’re guessing Honor’s favorite color is purple, since that’s how Alba decked out the home: purple balloons, purple streamers, purple and white flowers. She was also clearly baking up a storm, showing off an impressive six-layer rainbow cake along with a plate of rainbow sprinkle cupcakes.
But the fun didn’t stop inside — Alba borrowed buddy Gwyneth Paltrow’s idea and had Honor’s friends drive by with signs wishing her a happy birthday attached to the car as they waved out the window. Sure, it’s not exactly the same, but it has the same effect of Honor knowing her friends miss her, are thinking of her, and wish they could spend this time with her.
We’re all frustrated with quarantine right now. But these celebrity parents going above and beyond to keep their kids entertained and happy are downright inspiring. Rock on, Alba-Warren fam!
