When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their decision to step back from the royal family in January, they didn’t know that the world would be under lockdown just a few months later. (Whether or not we should have known, and been more prepared, is another question.) Currently, Harry is quarantined in Canada with Meghan — away from his family in the UK, which includes brother Prince William, father Prince Charles, and grandmother Queen Elizabeth II. And reports suggest Harry is feeling that distance keenly as the coronavirus pandemic shuts down the possibility of travel.
A source spoke to the DailyMail about Harry and Meghan’s mental state at this time, as they adopt self-isolation procedures for themselves and Archie in Vancouver. The source said Harry “feels a bit helpless and isolated out in the middle of nowhere, but is grateful that they are all together as a family,” adding that Meghan is doing her best to balance precaution with calm.

“She said panicking won’t do any good. It’s just not an option in her household,” the source added. “She doesn’t want Archie picking up on any unnecessary stress and tension. Her home is her sanctuary and it’s a place of peace and calm.”
Meghan and Harry recently returned from a trip to England, where they made their last official appearance as royals. “Meghan said they are grateful, especially Harry, that they could spend time with his family before all this insanity began,” the source said. “Meghan said [Harry] has been in contact with the both his father and grandmother.”
Charles is 71-years-old, and the Queen is 93-years-old. At this time, we’re all worried about our older family members and anyone we love who’s more at risk, and we’re sure Harry’s feeling the same way. In these past few weeks, we’ve all had to make choices we didn’t think we’d have to make. Hopefully, Harry is FaceTiming with his loved ones across the pond and doing what he can to stay connected.
