Céline Dion Reveals Whether She’s Dating and if She’d Ever Get Remarried

Her heart will go on — but not just yet. Céline Dion is opening up about dating and remarriage, or the possibility of, nearly four years after the death of husband Rene Angelil in January 2016. The iconic singer addressed rumors about her romantic life and more during a visit to Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Monday, admitting that moving on isn’t her top priority since she’s “still in love.”

Considering fans frequently speculate over who Dion is or isn’t dating, it wasn’t altogether surprising that one would call into WWHL and straight-up ask Dion for the scoop. Right up front, she made it clear she isn’t currently attached, saying, “I don’t date; I don’t have a boyfriend.” However, Dion clarified, she isn’t ruling it out in the future. “It doesn’t mean I will not find someone in my life. If I do, that would be great. If I don’t, that would be great because I’m still in love. I’ve been living all my life with Rene; he’s still within me. I see him through the eyes of my children every day.”

So, she isn’t out there swiping right in search of her next great love. If she happens to find that person, though, she promises to be transparent about it. “I’m so passionate about life and I’m so lucky to have my three beautiful sons,” she said, adding, “But I keep everything open, if it happens. I’m not looking for that. I think it’s something that happens and it comes and you feel it. Right now, if I had someone in my life, I would tell you, because I’ve been an open book all my life.”

Of course, that likely won’t stop people from speculating every time Dion is spotted with a member of the opposite sex. Earlier this year, fans were convinced she was dating one of her closest friends after they were photographed holding hands. But as Dion told Cohen, that relationship was totally platonic and, again, she would be honest if it wasn’t.

“We’re best friends, we’re in show business, and the tabloids in this industry are made for that,” she said. “He’s my best friend and we have a good time together. It feels like, today, you cannot have a man holding your hand! They don’t know anything about him, until one day, I said… he’s gay. He’s not my boyfriend! Calm down. I’m not trying to hide here, everything’s cool.”
