Angelina Jolie’s Kids All Grown Up at the Maleficent Premiere Have Us Feeling Nostalgic

Once upon a time, all eyes would be on Angelina Jolie’s next premiere to scrutinize who she was dating, or what she was wearing. Now, we’re held captive by Jolie walking the Maleficent: Mistress of Evil red carpet with her kids because, well, it’s adorable. We can’t get enough of this sweet family, and we love seeing them all turn out to support their mom. Sadly, 18-year-old Maddox is at college in South Korea and was unable to attend — but five out of six isn’t bad!

Jolie stunned at the premiere of her latest film, a sequel to 2014 Snow White spinoff Maleficent. Her signature all-black look consisted of a custom Versace dress and Cartier earrings, and her kids — with the exception of Knox’s festive green jacket — matched her muted tones with dark dresses and suits. Minus Maddox, the whole clan (who she shares with her ex, Brad Pitt) was there: 15-year-old Pax, 14-year-old Zahara, 13-year-old Shiloh, and 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Jolie couldn’t contain her pride over how grown-up and stunning her children are (and why should she?!). “Isn’t she gorgeous?” Jolie gushed to Entertainment Tonight over daughter Zahara. “She’s growing up so beautifully.” And Jolie loves nothing more than having these kids at her side: “It’s just so wonderful to have their [support],” she said. “They’re my friends.”

Jolie also reflected on what it feels like to be raising teenagers now — especially thinking back to how her own life looked in her late teens and early twenties. Thinking specifically about her 2000 Oscar win for Girl, Interrupted, Jolie told Entertainment Tonight: “Maybe it’s 20 years on in your life, and you kind of circle back to that girl … Your kids are teens. My son is closer to that age [than I am now] … and so all the things I love about that girl, I’m seeing in the spirit of them, and it’s helping me return to myself a little bit.” We can’t wait to see what these kids all become when they grow up!
