40 Hallmark Holiday Movies Are Coming, So Stock Up on Popcorn Now

Ah, the holidays: Time with family and friends, cozy pajamas, warm blankets — and, of course, movies, preferably watched while snuggled up with family and friends in cozy pajamas under warm blankets. Hallmark just announced 40 new Hallmark holiday movies to be released starting in late October, so if you’re looking for something warm and fuzzy to watch, there will be no shortage of options starting in just over a month.

The Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas series includes 24 original films, and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will also drop 16 new movies as part of a Miracles of Christmas event. In other words, you’ll have dozens of movies to choose from, starring Lacey Chabert, Kristin Chenoweth, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Ashley Greene, Dolly Parton, Adrian Grenier, Kathie Lee Gifford, Jesse Metcalfe and many (many) other actors.

Some films will ostensibly be a chance to take a mini holiday with the cast. For example, Chabert told People that her upcoming movie, Christmas in Rome (her eighth holiday feature for the channel), was “one of the most exciting movies I’ve made because of the opportunity to film in the gorgeous locations of Rome, Italy,” adding that she hopes viewers will “feel like they traveled there along with us!” Hey, it’s cheaper than a round-trip ticket to Italy.

Scroll down for the full lineup — the Hallmark Channel’s movies are first, followed by Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
