Kids grow up so fast. Actress, lifestyle guru and all-around amazing woman Chrissy Teigen says her daughter, Luna, could be a model and it’s certainly true. The mother of two, who’s always taking family photos, captured Luna’s modeling chops in a new Instagram picture taken while the family was on vacation in Thailand.
The picture sees Teigen’s mini-me, Luna, posing on a rock in an utterly adorable pink swimsuit. “Oh dear,” Teigen captures the photo, tagging MJ Day, the editor of Sports Illustrated magazine. Day, in turn, commented on the picture, “Effortless beauty [check] Chic suit [check] Owns that rock [check] TOE POINT [check][check][check][check][check] #callmeLuna.”
Teigen’s husband, John Legend, is just now dipping his toe in the Instagram waters and sought to leave his own mark on the photo, calling himself the “@yutsai of Instagram dads,” in reference to architect Yutsai “Andy” Wong; but, Teigen wasn’t gonna let him take the credit, clapping back with “@johnlegend I took this.”
Teigen has posed on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit edition five times, the last taking place just 10 months after she gave birth to Luna.
Comments on the photo have been positive so far. Teigen is often a punching bag for shaming, whether it’s in regards to her daughter’s dental hygiene or Teigen’s own unwillingness to wear a bra.
But in a world where we are talking about sexualizing girls too early, is it okay for Teigen to introduce the idea of swimsuit modeling into her 3-year-old’s head? No doubt Teigen knows how to parent and it’s not like Luna will see this photo right away, but it does leave you wondering.
