Prince William & Kate Middleton Have Revealed the Name of Their New Charity

We know that philanthropy is a major part of royal life, and now we know exactly what one royal couple will be dedicating themselves to. Kate Middleton and Prince William announced their new charity’s name — and the news comes months after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge parted with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as the couples began their own philanthropic ventures.

The charity, originally called The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, has been amended to The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, according to People. “Both couples will continue to work together on projects in the future, including on The Foundation’s mental health program, Heads Together,” the palace shared in a statement from earlier this year.

The statement continued, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are incredibly proud of what they have achieved together through The Royal Foundation. They are especially proud to have established a charity that has had, and will continue to have, significant long-lasting impact, changing lives for the better.”

Using their platforms, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have previously worked to highlight causes that are important to them. Just a few weeks ago, Prince William and Kate participated in The King’s Cup Regatta, where they chose their own charities to benefit and showcase.

Meghan Markle, meanwhile, highlighted a sustainable cupcake cause that supports women in a lovely Instagram post featured just over a week ago. It’s all a part of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Forces for Change initiative, putting a spotlight on organizations and people making a difference in the world.

Rumors had swirled that the royal couples’ separation in their charitable efforts was due to a major rift in the family. Back in June, it was reported that Duchess Kate and Duchess Meghan were not seeing eye-to-eye when it came to how they wanted to progress the charity. Now, it looks like the past is behind them, and both royal couples are ready to focus on their specific efforts. We’re excited to see what they have in store with their respective charities.
