Harboring a tiny human inside your belly is hard work, yet it can be tough to carve out time to treat yo’ self accordingly. Need inspo? Ashley Graham shared a post-massage, semi-nude baby bump photo after indulging in what she calls “some serious self-care” — and the expectant first-time mama is glowing. Prioritizing her health and wellness during this tender time certainly seems to agree with the supermodel.
It’s only been a week since Graham and her husband, Just Ervin, revealed their big news about baby number one, and Graham has already been praised for the way she’s embracing the changes to her body. In her first preggo photo on Instagram, she rocked a fitted dress that hugged her baby bump beautifully. Then, last weekend, celebrities and fans showered Graham with compliments for posting a nude side-selfie showing her stretchmarks.
Graham showed off her burgeoning belly on Instagram Thursday, posting a photo of herself cloaked only in a robe. Her hands covering her breasts and the sun silhouetting her bump, she looks totally relaxed. “Practicing some serious self care and feeling grateful for an hour and a half of massage bliss @lebarthelemy,” Graham captioned the photo. Ervin hilariously made sure everyone knew who took the stunning shot, joking, “Cool story, yo. Who took the pic?…” To which she responded, “My sexy husband in a robe as small as mine did!”
Between the bodily changes, hormones and natural anxiety about becoming a parent, pregnancy can be a tricky transition. And while Graham seems to mostly be getting support and encouragement, one commenter managed to put a negative spin on Graham’s post-massage selfie. “I can tell sis probably struggled to have this baby…,” they wrote.
But true-to-form so far in this pregnancy, Graham handled the situation with grace. Replying to the keyboard critic, she wrote, “Saw your other ‘pressed AF’ comment. Not sure why you are commenting or following if you are just going to hate. Love you sis and hope you find some peace & positivity.”
Um, can she be our mom? Because, #goals.
