The latest season of The Bachelorette was a wild ride, and it’s finally come to an end. Now, former contestants Jed Wyatt and Tyler Cameron’s responses to the Bachelorette finale are the latest developments to unfold — and what they have to say is pretty telling of how they spent their time on the show. Every season, host Chris Harrison promises fans that this year will be “the most dramatic” or “the most shocking” season yet. This time, the host may have been right. Reader be warned!
Bachelorette Hannah Brown wrapped the 15th season of the reality series by breaking off her engagement with Jed. The show’s dramatic finale revealed that Jed hadn’t broken off his relationship with ex-girlfriend Haley Stevens before coming on the show, and had told her he was only participating to advance his music career. Now, Jed’s post-show actions continue to show disrespect for the women in his life — this time, Hannah herself.
The evidence? Jed keeps “liking” comments on his Instagram that bash Hannah, while aggressively taking Jed’s side. “Honestly I’m not quite sure why everyone hates on Jed so hard,” one comment read, per Us Weekly’s screenshots. “Hannah was sleeping with several people throughout the season and he has to deal with that in her past… just like she needs to get over his. Like come on. It’s a television show I wouldn’t expect to fall in love either.” During her time on the show, Hannah was upfront about having sex with finalist Peter Weber, which came up in the context of former contestant Luke Parker trying to threaten their relationship and shame her behavior. Hannah let him know — in no uncertain terms — that her sex life with other men was none of his concern. Clearly, Jed didn’t get the memo.
But Tyler, a fan favorite from Hannah’s season, has been nothing but supportive of the former Bachelorette. “I’ll make this short and sweet,” the runner-up shared on Instagram. “This journey with you is something that I will always cherish. I am so grateful for all the experiences that we shared together. You taught me so much about myself and pushed me to be a better man. I learned so much from you and so did the rest of Bachelor Nation. You were what we all needed as a lead. You showed strength and grace in the most beautiful way. You kept it real and gave us all of you. As one chapter closes, another one begins. The world is yours girl! Excited to see what you do with it. Looking forward to that drink.”
In the second episode of the two-part season finale, Hannah asked Cameron if he would like to get a drink with her, to which he responded with an enthusiastic “yes.” “I’m really thankful for your love and support,” Brown commented on Cameron’s Instagram post. “You’re the best, and I’m glad America thinks so too. And…see ya soon! Cheers.” Much like their conduct throughout Hannah’s season, Tyler and Jed’s social media activity speaks for itself. Now, you tell us: which of these men would you rather get engaged to on live TV?
