It’s no secret that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle enjoy their privacy — even more so now that 3-month-old Archie is in the mix. But that privacy comes with a price, as shown by Harry and Meghan’s response to Frogmore Cottage neighbor rumors. which claim that the Sussex royals had distributed a formal list to their corner of Windsor instructing other residents to leave them alone. A Buckingham Palace spokesperson has refuted these claims, stating that, if there was such a list, the Sussex royals were certainly not involved in its creation.
Speaking to Us Weekly on Sunday, the spokesperson’s official statement went as follows: “The Duke and Duchess didn’t request this, didn’t know about it, and had nothing to do with the content or guidance offered.” The “content and guidance” refers to a list of demands originally published in The Sun, which were presented as “commandments” handed out to locals on behalf of Harry and Meghan. The list included directives like “don’t approach or instigate conversation if you see the Royal couple,” “don’t pet or stroke their dogs, even if they come over to you,” and “don’t ask to see baby Archie or offer to babysit.”

These rumors sparked a flurry of outrage on Twitter, offending those who felt the requests were over-the-top and insulting to locals. Even those who had heard the claims that Meghan and Harry did not personally release these demands — and that the rules were instead the work of an over-eager staffer — felt the Sussex royals were to blame for setting such a harsh tone with regard to privacy.
It’s a tragedy what Meghan Markle has done to Prince Harry. I hope he wakes up one day and sends her packing back to Hollywood! I used to really like him😟#MeghanMarkle is a horrible person! https://t.co/RQgKk8XhxF

I am utterly gobsmacked! Even the queen doesn’t make these demands! Who the hell do they think they are? https://t.co/CLkyA2er56

It's impossible Harry and Meghan didn't know about it! With how controlling and demanding they are, they know what's going on and asked their slaves to give it to their neighbors! When things get rough, they always blame it to their staff!

Hopefully, Harry and Meghan will be able to clear this up swiftly, as many seem to have found the initial Sun report convincing. It’s certainly not very neighborly to issue demands requesting you be left alone. But with the media tracking the Sussex royals as closely as they are, it’s not entirely unreasonable for them to want some safeguards in place — especially when it comes to young Archie.
