Nicole Kidman Adopted Her First-Ever Dog & the Photo Is the Purest Thing Ever

There’s a new addition to the Kidman-Urban family. Nicole Kidman adopted her first-ever dog with husband Keith Urban, and the photo is so cute. The Big Little Lies star shared the happy news on Wednesday, July 10, with an Instagram photo of her and her new pup. The picture featured the Oscar winner with her eyes closed as her puppy — what appears to be a small red poodle — kisses her forehead. “My first puppy,” Kidman wrote. “Actually my first dog. Been waiting my whole life for this! 🐶”

The Australian actress didn’t share the breed or name of her pooch, but that didn’t stop her celebrity friends from gushing over the canine. “So cute!” fellow Australian actress Isla Fisher commented on Kidman’s Instagram. “You’re gonna have a friend for life!” country singer Kimberly Schlapman added.

Kidman’s new dog adds to the Emmy winner’s already-large clan. The Aquaman star shares two daughters with husband Urban: Sunday Rose, 11, and Faith Margaret, 8. Kidman also has two kids with ex-husband Tom Cruise: daughter Isabella Jane, 26, and son Connor, 24.

According to Celebrity Pets, Kidman and Urban’s new pooch isn’t their first-ever pet, however. The family actual owns quite a few animals, including furry alpacas, a bunny — which the couple has affectionately named Bunny Foo Foo — and a Siamese fighting fish. Most of the couple’s animals are kept on their family farm in Nashville, Tennessee.

Congratulations to Kidman, Urban and the rest of the family on their new four-legged companion. We can’t wait to see more snaps of the pup on Kidman’s Instagram.
