Not to mention, prior to her wedding to Prince Harry, Meghan’s half-sister, Samantha Markle, took responsibility for orchestrating a series of photos of their father seemingly preparing for his journey overseas for his daughter’s nuptials. All told, the Duchess of Sussex has endured a number of unwarranted criticism and scandals. But the royal family, particularly the Queen and Prince Charles, are standing behind the latest addition to their family fold.
The Mirror, learned a bit more about how Queen Elizabeth II feels towards the drama Markle has had to handle. A source shared with the outlet, “The Queen is very fond of Meghan, as is Charles, and they both believe she has dealt with the situation in a dignified manner. The whole family is sympathetic on how much she has had to deal with.” A senior royal source also shared with the outlet that the Duchess of Sussex hasn’t really maintained a relationship with her father’s side of her family since the feud. “Meghan’s overriding view is that there is no place for her father or his extended family in her life right now,” the source shared. “She has a strong family unit around her in Harry, with their adorable newborn son.” The Duchess of Sussex “only wants positive influences for Archie.”
Apart from her family drama, the Duchess of Sussex has also been the target for a number of tabloids. But her husband, Prince Harry, has been a stalwart source of support for his wife. The source shared that Prince Harry, “supports her but recommends that she move with ease.” Given the unnecessary and unwarranted criticism, there’s peace of mind knowing the royal family is standing by Markle’s side, supporting her and wholly welcoming her into their fold.
