Katherine Schwarzenegger Had Her Bridal Shower & Chris Pratt Made a ‘Sweet’ Toast

These two seem to be quickly approaching their wedding day. According to a recent report from People, not only did Katherine Schwarzenegger have her bridal shower on Saturday, April 27, but her husband-to-be, Chris Pratt, showed up to give a “sweet” toast. Based on what sources told the publication, it sounds like the celebration for Schwarzenegger was a lovely one filled with family and friends, including Oprah Winfrey.

“Katherine was glowing the whole afternoon and having the best time celebrating with her friends and family,” People’s source dished about the shower which was reportedly held at the home of Maria Shriver, Schwarzenegger’s mom. The source continued, “Maria definitely went all-out for the shower but it still felt very down-to-earth and intimate inside. There were fun games and a flower station where guests could make arrangements, and a gospel choir sang several songs.”

If that isn’t enough, the insider also said Pratt showed up, which apparently made his fiancée very happy. “Katherine lit up when Chris arrived,” the source said before adding, “He also gave a sweet toast. They were adorable together and he wanted her to have all the attention.”

Since announcing their engagement in January, Pratt and Schwarzenegger haven’t been shy about their romance and how in love they are with each other. So to hear that Pratt made a touching toast isn’t surprising at all.

The author and the Avengers: Endgame star have been very open about their upcoming nuptials, including their wedding planning process. While chatting with Entertainment Tonight at the Endgame premiere on April 22, where the couple finally made their red carpet debut, Pratt said about wedding planning, “I’m up to about my neck, you know? That’s pretty deep. That’s up to about 5-foot-something. I’m in it baby, I’m in it. It’s good. It’s a good time!” Schwarzenegger also previously told Us Weekly in March about getting details in order for the wedding, “Oh, yeah. We get everything done. I mean, we’re pretty good with time management so it works out really well.”

As for exactly when they will say “I do,” well, the wedding date remains unclear. However, the Marvel actor told Us Weekly in February, “A little, you know, maybe fall, winter kind of thing and you know, we’ve got a lot to get done.”

Since then, it sounds like they’ve accomplished a lot for their special day. And with Schwarzenegger having her bridal shower, it certainly seems like they’re moving full speed ahead when it comes to their wedding.
