Khloé Kardashian can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to Tristan Thompson, her boyfriend and the father of her daughter. Following a major cheating scandal last year that nearly ended their relationship, he’s allegedly been caught cheating yet again — this time with Kardashian’s younger sister Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Jordyn Woods. And this time, Kardashian and Thompson have reportedly split for good. Confused yet? You’re not alone. On Thursday, Gwyneth Paltrow saw a meme about the drama and asked for an explainer, which we totally understand.
Paltrow reportedly commented on an Instagram post from user sourpsycho that read, “Jordyn Woods is best friends with the worlds youngest billionaire who gifts her with cars, diamonds, and lavish vacations. You’re telling me there’s a chance she gave that all up for a guy who rides bench for the Cavs and has a community dick? THE HORROR.”
Instagram user commentsbycelebs grabbed a screenshot of Paltrow’s comment. She wrote, “Can someone explain what’s going on? I have never heard of half of these people, someone give me context. Please. It seems serious.”
For anyone who, like Paltrow, wants to know what’s going on, People reported that Thompson and Woods were spotted making out at a party over the weekend. The news came as a shock to the Kardashian clan because Woods has long been super-tight with Jenner.
A source told People that the family had a hard time believing the gossip at first. “It wasn’t anything they wanted to drop,” the source said. “So several family members reached out to people they believed had been at the party. And they were told it was true.”
Although a cheating scandal like this certainly is serious and is sure to have lasting consequences for everyone in Kardashian’s family, not to mention Thompson and Woods, Paltrow’s comment is somewhat funny, especially when taken out of context. Unless you keep up with the Kardashians and Jenners, Paltrow’s confusion is totally relatable. With so many names in the mix and conflicting reports about the latest drama pouring in all the time, it’s easy to miss even one day’s worth of news and feel like you’re weeks behind.
