Odds are high that by now, you’ve either participated in or seen some of your favorite celebs posting about the #10YearChallenge on social media. Focused on showing “before and after” sets of a photo from a decade ago and a photo from 2019, this viral hashtag has dominated Instagram and Twitter for a few weeks. When it comes to celebrity #10YearChallenge posts, there have been plenty to have a laugh over. But on Wednesday, Mariah Carey posted her own #10YearChallenge, and we’re ready to say that hers is, hands down, the best we’ve seen.
Instead of posting side-by-side photos from 2009 and 2019 to show how time has changed her over the past decade, Carey chose to take a playful jab at the challenge. In her version of the challenge, she posted identical side-by-side snapshots of herself on Twitter, writing, “I don’t get this 10-year challenge, time is not something I acknowledge. *Picture taken at some point prior to today.”
While the caption is pretty hilarious, it’s the photo set that really takes the cake. In each photo, Carey is looking carefree in a pink and white robe, holding one of her dogs and looking happy and relaxed. And who would be relaxed when it looks like you’ve barely aged?

This cheeky response from Carey shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to her fans, who quickly took her #10YearChallenge caption and turned it into a viral meme of its own. As Twitter was quick to point out, Carey really doesn’t look like she’s aged a day in the past decade.

So, just to recap: Carey not only wins the viral hashtag #10YearChallenge with her own admittedly genius and unique take on it, but she also manages to inspire a meme of sorts based on her comments about said viral hashtag. We’re never not in awe of Carey, but in this instance, we’re downright astounded — in the best way, of course
