Heidi Klum Says She Still Believes in Marriage Despite Her 2 Divorces

Newly engaged Heidi Klum is ready to take that walk down the aisle with fiancé Tom Kaulitz — in fact, she’s been ready. On a segment of The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday, DeGeneres went with her trademark direct approach to grilling guests about their relationship status, asking Klum if she wanted to get married to then-just-boyfriend Kaulitz. And Klum revealed she has no hesitation about getting hitched for a third time.

“I’ve been married twice. I still believe in love and marriage, I do. Even though I failed twice at it. I guess I’m not very good at it,” she joked of her previous marriages to Seal and Ric Pipino. “I found a great person, so let’s see what happens.”

Perhaps Kaulitz was waiting on a little push to pop the question, because that’s exactly what he did not long after Klum taped her segment with DeGeneres.

On Christmas Eve, she shared a sweet photo of the pair smiling, with her hand rocking a huge sparkler on her ring finger. “I SAID YES,” Klum revealed.

The couple continued their sweet shenanigans through the last few days of 2018 and straight into 2019, posting sweet photos snuggling in bed (“Bliss,” Klum called the moment), ringing in the new year with loved ones and dancing the night away.

Klum and Kaulitz made their red carpet debut at Cannes Film Festival in May after being caught canoodling on the set of America’s Got Talent, on which Klum is a judge, in March.

In July, Klum couldn’t resist gushing to People about her new guy, insisting, “He is the kindest, sweetest, most caring, loving person. I feel so lucky. I don’t know the last time I was this happy in my life. He is absolutely wonderful. Maybe it is because he is German and we understand each other in a different way. But so far so good.”

Per Klum, the couple’s 17-year age gap is a nonissue, as she is “so in love” with Kaulitz. Congrats to the happy couple!
