Chrissy Teigen Doesn’t Mince Words When It Comes to Thomas Markle

Chrissy Teigen often says what we’re all thinking on social media, and the outspoken star hit the nail on the head again this weekend. On Saturday, as Meghan Markle’s father Thomas made more headlines, Teigen took to Twitter to sum up the general consensus at this point: “This guy… this guy sucks.”

The model made it clear what set her off this time, adding to the tweet screenshots of recent articles about Thomas’ comments to the media. In one, Thomas laments that perhaps things would be easier if he was dead, and in another, he presumes that “Diana would’ve loathed the way I’ve been treated.”

Teigen has clearly grown tired of Thomas’ repeated efforts to (intentionally or not) undermine his daughter’s well-being. “What is wrong with him? Let your daughter be happy, please,” Teigen tweeted. “This is embarrassing.”

Thomas has been on a bit of a tear lately, going on the record with, well, just about anyone who’ll have him.

In an interview with the Daily Mail on Sunday — the same interview during which Thomas suggested it might be “easier” if he was dead — he complained that Meghan had allegedly cut him out of her life completely. “I used to have a phone number and text number for her personal aides at the Palace, but after I said a few critical words about the Royal Family changing Meghan, they cut me off,” he told the Mail. Those numbers, he claims, have been disconnected.

In June, Thomas revealed parts of confidential conversations between himself and Prince Harry to ITV’s “Good Morning Britain.” The royal family was reportedly less than thrilled when Thomas went on air to discuss private revelations about such sensitive topics as Donald Trump and Brexit.

At the time, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Thomas’ press appearances caught Prince Harry and Meghan off-guard.

“Meghan loves her father deeply and Harry and Meghan have tried to offer him support and guidance adjusting to the media attention, but the relationship is fractured and it will be interesting to see where they go from here,” the source said.

Of course, as Thomas tells it, they’ve gone nowhere — according to his interview with the Mail, the relationship is now non-existent. If Teigen’s latest tweet is any indication, though, she’d likely tell you that Thomas brought any imposed exile on himself.
