Flip or Flop season eight is back on the air, and sure, Tarek El Moussa may be branching out with his own solo project, but you know what? Christina El Moussa isn't just going to hang out and let Tarek have all the fun. In fact, on Wednesday, Christina announced exclusively to People magazine that she is going to have her own show on HGTV, Christina on the Coast, and we're so excited to find out more about it.
According to People, the first episode of Christina on the Coast will follow Christina El Moussa as she works to renovate the home she recently purchased in Newport Beach, California, after selling the home she has lived in for five years in Yorba Linda. From there, the next seven episodes will follow a similar pattern where the focus is on El Moussa helping families renovate their homes, updating them and giving them modern, high-end finishes.
While chatting to People about the show, El Moussa's excitement at a fresh start on her own seemed palpable. "I’ll be able to do what I like more which is the design part," she told the magazine. "That’s always been what I’m good at, and people are always asking me to come help them do their house. It’s going to be fun to be able to add my taste, and not have a flip budget."
In addition to the announcement with People, El Moussa also gave her fans the first look at Christina on the Coast, posting a photo on Instagram of her in the middle of the renovation process and writing, "I’m so excited to announce my new series on HGTV called Christina on the Coast, which will debut in early 2019! I will be helping homeowners redesign their outdated properties into beautiful spaces!"
El Moussa has plenty to be happy about, from her relationship with TV presenter Ant Anstead to her success as a business owner and mother of two. But Christina on the Coast feels like the fresh start she really needs, and it will be exciting to see where she takes the show — and where the show takes her.
