This Is When & Where Gwyneth Paltrow Might Be Getting Married

Since the moment Gwyneth Paltrow and producer Brad Falchuk announced their engagement in January, rumors have swirled about the impending wedding. When and where will Goop’s head arbiter of style get hitched? Well, if Page Six has it pegged, Paltrow and Falchuk will be tying the knot sooner rather than later — or, to be precise, this summer at the bride’s Hamptons home.

Per the outlet, a source claims the wedding is set to be held “at the end of the summer, after Labor Day.” Hmm, a late-summer Hamptons wedding? We could get behind that.

According to Variety, at 6,800 square feet on 2.25 acres, Paltrow’s home in the Amagansett area could certainly accommodate a black-tie crowd. Paltrow reportedly purchased the property in 2006 with then-husband Chris Martin. At the time, the couple paid $5.4 million for the five-bedroom, seven-and-a-half-bathroom house.

However, would we really be having this conversation if Paltrow and Falchuk were getting married in the Hamptons? We have our doubts.

Celebrities are understandably guarded when it comes to details of their big day out of fear they’ll be swarmed by uninvited guests — including, of course, the paparazzi. In order to evade prying eyes, Hollywood’s betrothed have gone to great lengths to deflect attention. Stars like Amy Schumer and celebrity chef Chris Fischer didn’t dispute rumored narratives surrounding their possible nuptials, only to surprise fans by getting married somewhere entirely different.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan of Sussex could be considered another example of this sort of bait and switch. Although the royal couple obviously had a highly publicized wedding ceremony, everyone was convinced they would be honeymooning in Canada. Kensington Palace never released a statement on the post-wedding trip, feeding into speculation that Harry and Meghan could be Canada-bound.

However, upon the newlyweds return to the U.K., it was reported that they’d actually spent their first vacation together as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in East Africa.

So, while we think getting hitched in the Hamptons sounds lovely, we’re not convinced that’s where Paltrow and Falchuk will wed. Regardless, you know it’s going to be a beautiful celebration — especially considering how psyched Paltrow is about it.

Although no specific details about the wedding have actually been confirmed, Paltrow told People earlier this year that she was diving headfirst into planning. “I’m excited about everything! I’ve never had a wedding before,” Paltrow said, alluding to her elopement with Martin. “So even though I’m 45, I sort of feel like a 21-year-old.”
