Chris Evans’ Birthday Was Filled With Celebrity Tweets & Childhood Pictures

If you noticed an influx of Chris Evans pictures on your social media feeds yesterday, there's a good reason why.

Celebrities and fans celebrated Evans' 37th birthday with the hashtag #ChrisEvansDay and shared well wishes. Evans posted some thank-you tweets later in the day and called out some very famous friends.

"Thank you all so much for the kind birthday wishes!!!!" Evans wrote. "I’m 37 today. Or as my emotional maturity chooses to label it, the 16th anniversary of my 21st birthday."

When Dwayne Johnson decided to run with the joke about Evans' age, Evans went the extra mile.

In between heartfelt thank-yous, Evans also challenged Octavia Spencer (his Gifted costar), saying, "Would an exclamation point have killed you?" he wrote. "Any number of emojis would have sufficed. The only thing missing from this tweet is a period. You better step it up next year, Spencer." We really hope this challenge is accepted!

The party wasn't just on Twitter, though. Evans' younger brother, Scott Evans, took the celebration to Instagram and shared actual childhood photos of the star. The pictures are kind of amazing.

"Happy birthday to my big brother!" Scott Evans wrote. "You were my first friend and you are still my best friend today. Thank you for being the greatest- I love you so damn much!!"

We love seeing photos of celebrities before they were famous; it's even better when we get to see their childhood antics with siblings or other family. The Evans brothers are super-close — they frequently appear together on red carpets, on late-night talk shows and in YouTube videos like this one.

It's amazing to see these brothers are still tight. And, uh, we'll take more childhood pictures, please!
