John Stamos got engaged at the Happiest Place on Earth, and now on his honeymoon, he’s the “happiest man on Earth” at — you guessed it — Disney World. If you needed any more proof this pair enjoys a fairy-tale romance, well, now you have it.
After tying the knot with fiancée Caitlin McHugh in Studio City on Feb. 3, Stamos did what any stand-up new husband would do: whirl his bride away for a romantic honeymoon. And it’s only fitting the couple would return to the theme park where Stamos first popped the question.
Stamos shared a photo from their magical post-nuptials vacation, captioning the almost-too-cute snapshot, “#oneweek (and they said it wouldn’t last) #happiestmanonearth #happiestplaceonearth @waltdisneyworld.”
In the pic, McHugh gives Stamos a kiss on the cheek in front of Cinderella’s castle. He sports a pair of Mickey Mouse ears embroidered with the word “Groom,” while McHugh rocks a white Minnie Mouse ear-adorned veil.
The trip may feel familiar to longtime Stamos fans — 25 years ago, the actor took the same trip with his fictional family on his hallmark ’90s series, Full House. There, standing in front of Cinderella’s castle, rock star Uncle Jesse dedicated his performance of “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes” to his TV wife, Becky (Lori Loughlin).
Aw, cue all the feels, guys. Stamos is one hopeless romantic… on-screen and off.
Considering he and McHugh are expecting their first child later this year, we have a feeling we’ll soon be seeing family snapshots at the Happiest Place on Earth too. When Stamos announced the pregnancy during an interview with People late last year, he said, “I think, well, I’ll be a fun dad. I’ve been practicing for a long time.”
