Kylie Jenner Apologizes to Fans While Announcing the Birth of Her Baby Girl
Fans of Kylie Jenner spent the better part of 2017 speculating over one big mystery: is she, or isn't she? Since rumors first began floating around that Jenner could be pregnant, everyone has been on baby bump alert. And while Jenner did an excellent job keeping her expanding belly under wraps, the secret is finally out — on Feb. 1, she gave birth to a baby girl.
But Jenner didn't just take to social media to reveal the joyous news. The 20-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and cosmetics mogul wanted to share something else with fans as well: an apology.
In an Instagram post, Jenner broke the news of her daughter's birth while also saying sorry to her loyal fans. "I'm sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions. I understand you're used to me bringing you along on all my journeys," Jenner began.
"My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. I knew for myself i needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way i knew how," she continued. "There was no gotcha moment, no big paid reveal i had planned. I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness."
Jenner went on to call pregnancy "the most beautiful, empowering, and life changing experience" of her life before dropping the official baby bomb. "My beautiful and healthy baby girl arrived February 1st and i just couldn't wait to share this blessing. I've never felt love and happiness like this i could burst! Thank you for understanding."
Then in celebration of the baby girl and, presumably, to give fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse into what has actually been going on for the last nine months, Jenner shared a video simply titled "To Our Daughter." Spoiler alert? It's a total tearjerker.
(Let it all out, friends — you'll find no judgment here. We're feeling all the feelings, too.)
Jenner's older sis Khloé Kardashian, who is also expecting, congratulated the new mother with an Instagram post of her own. Accompanying a picture of the sisters' baby bumps together, Kardashian posted the caption, "Congratulations My Sweet Kylie! What a magical ride it's been! I'll miss you bumping along with me. Never in a million years did I think we would do this together, but it's been that much more special because of it. God is so great!! He had His plan all along! I love you little mama [heart emoji] love big mama."
It's clear that 2018 is shaping up to be a banner year for the Kardashian-Jenner clan. Congrats to the entire (growing) family!
