Jimmy Kimmel Is Hosting a Special Guest the Night of Trump's State of the Union
As if the State of the Union address won't be enough quality TV entertainment for one night, we now know that Jimmy Kimmel will be celebrating Donald Trump's first time addressing the nation with a special guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Kimmel's guest that night, after the State of the Union broadcasts, will be Stormy Daniels, the porn star involved in a recent White House sex scandal.
Kimmel announced in a tweet that Daniels will be joining him on Jan. 30, writing, "I am pleased to announce that the very gifted @StormyDaniels will be on #Kimmel Tuesday 1/30 after the #StateOfTheUnion. I have MANY QUESTIONS! #MAGA"
We all have many questions. Daniels shot to fame earlier this month after a Wall Street Journal investigation found that Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, paid her $130,000 in hush money just weeks before the election. It has now been discovered that she and Trump had a sexual relationship in 2006, just after Trump's current wife, Melania, gave birth to their son, Barron. Daniels has shared a lot of sordid details about her affair with Trump since then.
Trump has denied through his lawyer that the affair ever happened, but his legal team has not addressed the payment made to Daniels other than to provide an email signed "Stormy Daniels" that claims the settlement was not "hush money."
Daniels' appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! the same night as the State of the Union is obviously not coincidental timing. We're sure Daniels will have plenty to say, but whether it'll be about her own story, the State of the Union or just politics in general remains to be seen.
