Jesse Williams Is Still Dealing With Custody Drama
It seems like Jesse Williams' custody battle is never going to end. It's been almost a year since the Grey's Anatomy star and his estranged wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, announced their separation. Yet the court battle is still dragging on.
E! News has obtained court documents that show that Drake-Lee is alleging Williams "failed to follow the current custody orders" for their two shared children, Maceo Williams and Sadie Williams. She is alleging Williams "introduced the children to his girlfriend," which is a violation of their current custody agreement, which says "that neither parent will introduce the children to a boyfriend/girlfriend until the relationship has endured at least six months."
Drake-Lee further alleges in her court filing Williams has allowed the kids to be around his girlfriend since October of last year. She says Williams has allowed his girlfriend to sleep over while the kids are at his house and that he's taken them to his girlfriend's house. She also alleges that the kids now call Williams' girlfriend "Mama C" and that in December, Williams took the kids and his girlfriend on a two-night trip together.
There has been a lot of speculation about Williams' love life since he and his wife split up, and he's been repeatedly linked to his costar, Minka Kelly. However, his girlfriend is not named in any of the court papers.
Drake-Lee is also accusing Williams of posting photos and videos of the kids on Instagram and taking them to work with him, both things that are reportedly prohibited by their current custody agreement. She states in her filing that the children are "having a difficult time with the current schedule."
Williams has not responded to this filing, but just last week, a judge ordered him to pay Drake-Lee more than $50,000 per month in spousal support.
We don't know how this will play out, but for the sake of Williams, Drake-Lee and, most important, their kids, hopefully the fighting comes to an end soon.
