This New Jackie Kennedy Conspiracy Theory About JFK’s Death Is Too Much

If there’s one thing the internet loves, it’s a good old-fashioned conspiracy theory. And few events in history have inspired as many theories as the death of President John F. Kennedy.

Now, with the 54th anniversary of Kennedy’s death coming up, there’s a new theory circling that is so extra. Dr. James Fetzer, author of a book about the shooting death called Murder in Dealey Plaza, thinks there’s evidence that points to a shooter no one suspected: Kennedy’s wife, Jackie Kennedy.

Fetzer is rightfully skeptical of the Warren Report, the official government investigation that concluded Kennedy was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald, which people have said for years doesn’t match evidence and video footage of the assassination. But Fetzer’s ideas are even more out there.

“According to the Warren Report, Lee Oswald scored two hits, firing three shots in six seconds… with a medium to low velocity weapon, which couldn’t have inflicted the damage to the President’s skull,” he wrote. “The autopsy x-rays were fabricated to conceal a massive blow-out to the back of the head, caused by a shot fired from in front… The autopsy record was falsified.”

Fetzer believes footage of the infamous moment shows something shiny and metallic in Jackie’s hand as she crawls across the backseat of the car immediately following the shooting. He thinks that something could have been a gun. What’s even more, he thinks it’s possible the CIA hired Jackie to carry out the shooting.

We warned you this theory was really extra.

While it’s probably not too far-fetched to consider there are details about the shooting that were left out of the official government report, believing Jackie Kennedy was the real murderer and that she was put up to it by the CIA? That’s just a little too much.
