Ava Phillippe Will Soon Make Her Debut as a Debutante
Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon's mini-me daughter, Ava Phillippe, is all grown up and about to make her society debut. According to Vanity Fair, Ava Phillippe will be one of six Americans presented at le Bal des Débutantes at the Peninsula Paris hotel on Nov. 25.
Phillippe, who turned 18 in September, will reportedly be wearing Giambattista Valli haute couture to the debutante ball, or cotillion. Maharaja Padmanabh Singh, the young monarch of Jaipur, will act as Phillippe's cavalier (read: escort for the occasion).
Phillippe's first debutante ball, this signifies her official introduction into high society. Previous debutantes at le Bal range from Robert Kennedy Jr.'s daughter Kyra to Italian princess Mathilde Melusine Ruspoli.
Page Six reports that the other Americans "coming out" at le Bal this year alongside Phillippe are as follows: Warner Music Group owner Len Blavatnik's daughter Laila, 18, Steve Harvey's stepdaughter, Lori, 20, producers Bradley and Colleen Bell's daughter Charlotte, 17, filmmaker Louis Malle's great-niece Jeanne, 16, and Stanley Ho's daughter Alice, 18.
Phillippe's debut marks a rare public appearance for the unassuming teen, who historically has chosen a low-key lifestyle over being in the spotlight. However, Phillippe's famous mama has gushed about her daughter's distinctive sense of style and self.
"She's so much cooler than I am!" Witherspoon told Us Weekly in April. "She's very cutting-edge, and she knows a lot about fashion, and she has her own sense of style, which is amazing."
And what better place for a fashion lover to make her entrance into society than Paris?
