Reese Witherspoon is getting a head start on her return to TV, not with Big Little Lies Season 2 or her confirmed show with Jennifer Aniston. No, Witherspoon is guest starring on The Mindy Project with her Wrinkle in Time co-star Mindy Kaling. The pair posted photos to their respective social media accounts on Tuesday afternoon to tease the upcoming episode, and I’ve gotta say, whatever is happening, it looks like a ton of fun.

Witherspoon posted a photo to her Twitter on Tuesday that showed her holding a script for the episode she would be guest-starring in. While the episode is untitled, it does look like she’ll appear in the seventh episode of the season. This is indicated by the title “607,” where “6” refers to the season the show is in and “07” to the episode number. Witherspoon captioned the photo, “Is it possible to have too much fun on set? Exciting cave-dwelling things to come with @mindykaling and #TheMindyProject!”. Wait, she’s going to be in a cave?

Well, yeah, that sounds about right, because Kaling herself confirmed the cave detail when she posted a photo to her personal Instagram that showed to the two women mid-laugh in what appeared to be a cave. Guys, what the actual heck are you doing? And why does everyone looks so fancy and chill in a freaking cave?

Now, if they are in a cave together, that could mean two things for this episode: Either the show’s protagonist, Mindy Lahiri, is stuck in a cave with actual Reese Witherspoon (or a character she plays) or Mindy is stuck in a cave by herself, using her cellphone to call for help, when a figment of her imagination appears as Witherspoon to help her (I’m guessing it’s that latter). What’s even more interesting is that Kaling notes in the photo’s caption that it’s the second cave-acting scene they’ve done together, which means we’ll have to keep a sharp eye out for the other scene in question in A Wrinkle in Time.

According to E! News, Witherspoon will only appear for one episode during what is the final season of The Mindy Project. The sixth and final season promises to be an epic one, with Mindy Lahiri breaking off her marriage to Ben the Nurse and Danny Castellano set to return for a short arc. In a season filled with big exits, it looks like Witherspoon’s guest appearance will be a breath of fresh air.
