All Is Right in the World Now That Kim Raver Is on the Grey's Anatomy Set
You can go home again! That’s exactly what Kim Raver is doing on Season 14 of Grey’s Anatomy — she’s returning to the series as Dr. Teddy Altman for a guest arc. Deadline broke the news back in June, but Raver is now officially back on set.
Raver was a series regular on the Shonda Rhimes show from Seasons 6 to 8, but her character was fired from Seattle Grace by Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) so she would be pushed to take her dream job at Medcom in Germany. Teddy was briefly heard on the phone at the end of Season 13 after Owen’s sister was treated at her military hospital.
The intriguing part of this story is how they will handle Teddy’s crush on Owen. Even though he married again on the show, he’s now separated. Will those old feelings resurface?
It’s impossible to tell if romance is in the cards from the Instagram photo Jesse Williams posted on Thursday. He, Raver and Camilla Luddington, however, look great in their scrubs and seemingly prepped for surgery.
There’s also an additional photo with Ellen Pompeo photobombing in the background while Raver and Luddington look off into the distance. While we know surgery is involved, we have no idea how Rhimes is going to tackle Teddy’s romantic life — if at all.
The cast members aren't the only ones who are excited. Fans were jumping with joy all over Twitter about Raver's return and the behind-the-scenes photos.
While Raver’s return date hasn’t been announced, the cast is currently in the early stages of filming the new season. That said, Season 14 of Grey’s Anatomy will have a two-hour premiere on Thursday, Sept. 28.
