The Wonder Woman star was a big part of this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, where she was an actual superhero to a little girl who was overcome with emotion when she met her hero.
A video captured at the event shows the little girl, dressed in a Wonder Woman costume, bursting into tears as she approaches Gadot, and Gadot comforting her. Reaching across the table and grabbing the little girl’s hand, Gadot can be heard saying, “There’s no reason to cry, all right? Here we are together.”

The touching moment is a huge reminder for all of us about why it’s so important to have representation in pop culture. That little girl has a hero that inspires her so much, she couldn’t even hide her emotions when they finally met in person; to have such a powerful role model like Wonder Woman can be an important thing for girls everywhere to have in their lives.
Gadot wasn’t even the only one who comforted the girl. Her Wonder Woman co-star Ezra Miller also had some calming words. “You’re a warrior!” he told her. “Your ability to cry is what makes you such a warrior. Come join the Justice League whenever you get ready.”
The video of the sweet moment has gone viral, and a woman who says she’s the girl’s mom has responded to it all on Twitter. “That was my daughter,” she wrote. “She was so happy to meet her that she was tearing up. Gal was so sweet to her. Memories of a lifetime!”
