Miranda Kerr's Wedding Dress Was Conservative-Chic
Does anyone have more effortlessly perfect style than Miranda Kerr? The former Victoria's Secret model quietly married Snapchat co-founder Evan Spiegel in their backyard a couple of months ago, but now, we're finally being treated to one of the sweetest details from the wedding: Kerr's dress. We already knew she picked the perfect dress, even though we didn't know exactly what that dress looked like. Turns out, it's not quite what we imagined — it's better.
Instead of something new or on-trend, Kerr went with a classic, modest dress. It was simply designed with long sleeves and a sheer overlay embellished with flowers over sleek satin, and it was perfect. It was worth waiting two months to get to see. It was perfectly Kerr.
That last post? It was liked by none other than Kerr's ex-husband, Orlando Bloom. That's how good she looks. She is fire.
Kerr took inspiration from celeb-turned-royal Grace Kelly for the dress, seeking out a modest, vintage-inspired design.
"A dress that fully covers you creates a sense of purity and mystery," she told Vogue. "I've had a lot of fun with fashion, and I used to be more wild, free, bohemian. But in this period of my life, my style is more pulled back. My greatest sources of inspiration have always been Grace, Audrey Hepburn, and my grandmother, who at 80 has an effortless chic: a nice pant, a white blouse, a scarf, a little heel."
