Cameron Diaz, can I have your life? She’s beautiful, successful and married to Benji Madden, who is most definitely the superior Madden twin. Speaking as a person who was the unofficial president of the Benji Madden Fan Club in middle school and attended a Good Charlotte concert wearing black lipstick, I can confirm that Diaz has damn fine taste in men.
That said, Madden has a hella great thing going with Diaz, even though I’ve been low-key jealous of her since the second they got together. At the Goop Wellness Summit on a panel moderated by the Goop queen herself Gwyneth Paltrow, Diaz confessed to having the perfect life and a marriage that teenage me had dreamed of having with Madden. *Sigh*
Her gushing came after Paltrow asked her about waiting to get married until she was quite a bit older than a lot of women are when they walk down the aisle. “Cameron, you got married later,” Paltrow said. “What was it that kept you from getting married until you were 40?”
Diaz corrected her first, saying, “41,” then added, “I think it’s a matter of I just hadn’t met my husband, you know? I had boyfriends before. And there’s a really, really distinct difference between husbands and boyfriends.”
She continued, “And I have a husband who is just my partner in life and in everything. Talk about two very different people! We are so different from one another, but we share the same values — we’re totally two peas in a pod. We are both just weird enough for each other.”
Ugh, you guys. It’s not fair, but how can you be anything but happy for her?
