Tarek and Christina El Moussa of HGTV’s Flip or Flop have teamed up once again to save a friend and series regular, contractor Frank “The Tank” Miller, who has two types of cancer. The couple split in December and the HGTV family struggled, but they have reconciled for the time being to help raise money for their friend in need.
Both posted on their Instagram accounts that Miller is suffering from “very aggressive” cancer and his medical bills are getting out of control. The two set up a GoFundMe page with a goal of $50,000. The page has raised a little over $14,500 and the number is climbing.
“Any donation helps whether it’s $1 or $100 dollars anything will help this amazing man,” wrote Tarek. “We love him so much that Christina and I are donating $5,000 to his go fund me account to start it.”
“Please click the link in my bio and donate,” Christina wrote. “Every little bit helps. Thank you from Tarek, Frank and I.”
Tarek and Christina have been fairly hostile toward one another since their split, with Christina dating someone new and expressing that she “could care less” about Tarek’s dating life. Tarek has said that he’s “done worrying about the past.” So, it’s refreshing to see the two come together over something much more serious than their comparatively silly divorce.
Unfortunately, dealing with cancer within the Flip or Flop family is nothing new. In 2013, Tarek El Moussa was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, and then a month later, testicular cancer. He has since beat the disease and has written on Instagram that he is still cancer-free as of this year.
We wish Miller the best and encourage everyone to donate. We’re also happy to see that the El Moussas can still work together despite the breakup and understand the importance of family over drama.
