Jason Aldean says what we’re all thinking about those Kimye baby names… they’re flippin’ weird.
Aldean, who is expecting his first child with wife Brittany Kerr, told Entertainment Tonight he wants a unique name for his kid. But he does have his limits.
“It will be something unique and different. Nothing crazy like a direction — East, West, North, South — none of that stuff,” Aldean explained, clearly referring to the Kardashian/West decision about their daughter’s name. “It will be something really cool. Both of us have names that are pretty common, Jason and Brittany, so, something that’s kind of unique is kind of our main goal.”
I mean, I’m not really sure why it’s shocking that Aldean referred to the name North West as “crazy.” It is a pretty unusual name. Is anyone trying to say it’s mainstream?
Still, that didn’t stop some commenters from calling Aldean and his wife “hillbillies.”
I’m gonna go ahead and guess that the name Saint isn’t on Aldean and Kerr’s short list either.
Aldean already has two daughters from his previous marriage, Keeley, 14, and Kendyl, 9. His baby with Kerr will be his first son, the couple confirmed.
“Both sides of our families are full of girls,” Aldean said. “I have two, my sister’s got three, [Brittany’s] sister has got two, and so there are no boys at all. So, for this to be the first boy in the family on both sides is kind of a special thing for everybody.”
