Stanton was recently engaged to Josh Murray, winner of Andi Dorfman’s Bachelorette season and all around bad boy, during the last season of BIP. But the two cut off the engagement in December 2016 after the cameras were turned off.

“When we were on the show, it felt like I had met the love of my life,” Stanton tells Us Weekly. “There’s a lot of things and situations in the real world you don’t experience while you’re [in Paradise.]”

I could have told her this would happen the moment Josh Murray walked into that beautiful bar at that boujie Mexican resort. I could have told her this would happen the moment she stopped dating Nick Viall on that same season of BIP. I wish I could have told her to continue dating Nick Viall so we weren’t strapped with one of the most boring Bachelors in The Bachelor history. But that’s for another article.

And with that, we raise our wine glasses to you, Amanda Stanton, in hopes that you find what you’re looking for on an island of Bach Nation misfits.
