Brad Pitt Is Not Looking for His Next Missus
Updated April 20, 2017, 8:20 a.m. PT: As fun as it would have been to imagine getting the chance to swipe right on Brad Pitt on Tinder or maybe meet him after reading his nicely put-together Match profile, new reports confirm he's actually not dating. Bummer, right?
In an exclusive report from Entertainment Tonight, sources confirm Pitt and his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, are squarely focused on their children and their work right now. As result of this concentrated effort, any moment Pitt has gone out has apparently been strictly in the company of his friends as a friend, with nothing romantic going on. "Everything is going well; the family is getting along and keeping things private," the source says. "That is his sole focus right now."
It may have been a decade since the last time Brad Pitt was single, but that obviously doesn't mean he's going to stay that way forever. Of course Pitt's going to start dating again at some point, so why not now?
It's been a little more than six months since his split from Angelina Jolie. Maybe that's a little quick to be moving on, but hey, everyone adjusts to a new way of life at their own pace. Plus, it's not like he's rushing down the aisle with a new girl or anything.
According to an insider's tip-off at People magazine, Pitt "has been dating a bit," adding, "[i]t’s not anything serious. He doesn’t have a girlfriend. It’s more of a way to get out and be social." So he's living a perfectly normal life for a single guy. Why should this come as any shock?
Pitt's friends, who know him best, have been encouraging this, because they "don’t want him to sit at home alone." The way they describe it, it sounds like dipping his toe back into the dating pool involves double dates. "He seems more comfortable double-dating and friends are helping out," the source explained.
He's definitely not getting serious with anyone, even though rumors have linked him to Kate Hudson and Sienna Miller since his split with Jolie. Miller addressed those rumors recently at a screening of The Lost City of Z (they met on the set of the film, which Pitt is producing), saying, "I’m not going to even dignify it with a response. It’s predictable and silly."
What’s also predictable is that Pitt isn’t going to stay hung up on Jolie forever, and now women everywhere can resume fantasizing about becoming Mrs. Pitt again.
