Is it just me, or does it seem like the Duggars plan out their courtships, engagements and weddings to happen like clockwork?

Anyway, it’s that time again — another Duggar is engaged! It’s Joy-Anna this time (obviously, since she was the only one courting), and she just got engaged to her boyfriend, Austin Forsyth.
“We just got engaged!” a clearly excited Joy-Anna told Us Weekly. “I’m so excited to be engaged to my best friend — Austin made it so romantic, it’s amazing.”
Forsyth seemed equally stoked about tying the knot with Joy-Anna.
“I’m just overwhelmed with emotion,” he said (cue all the “Awws”). “I’m so excited to be engaged because that means the next step is marriage, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for us!”

Forsyth has been a Duggar family friend for most of his life, and he and Joy-Anna have known each other for 15 years. They announced in November, just a week after sis Jinger’s wedding to soccer star Jeremy Vuolo, that they were officially courting. Forsyth chose a special place in the woods to pop that courtship question.
“It’s a place that I’ve come many times to just get away and spend time with the Lord,” he told reporters at the time. “I just knew that this was the place that I wanted to ask her.”
Forsyth has always been adorably head over heels for Joy-Anna. A recent episode of Counting On just about had us swooning when he asked Duggar patriarch Jim Bob for permission to begin courting Joy-Anna.
“Over the years, I’ve been watching, and I really admire her heart for the Lord and her character,” Forsyth told Jim Bob. “She’s such a diligent worker. She gets all the younger siblings working. She’s a good delegator — and, of course, her beauty.”
