DiCaprio has been a passionate advocate for environmental issues for many years, and even has his own foundation, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation. And on Wednesday. Dec. 7, DiCaprio reportedly met with the president-elect and his daughter, Ivanka, at the New York Trump Tower to discuss climate change and push for more green jobs.

DiCaprio is believed to have given a presentation, and according to a statement from Terry Tamminen, the CEO of LDF, they discussed how to create millions of new jobs while focusing on "the construction and operation of commercial and residential clean, renewable energy generation."

Tamminen also suggested that this would be the first of many discussions. He said, "The president-elect expressed his desire for a follow-up meeting in January, and we look forward to continuing the conversation with the incoming administration as we work to stop the dangerous march of climate change, while putting millions of people to work at the same time."

The meeting between Trump, Ivanka and DiCaprio happened just hours after Trump announced that he would be appointing climate science skeptic Scott Pruitt to head the Environmental Protection Agency.
