Nicole Trunfio's jewellery is amazing — and 6 other things to know about her
Nicole Trunfio recently launched a new line of 14-karat gold jewellery under the label Erth, and it's already attracting celebrity attention. Who is the woman behind this rapidly growing Australian brand?
Here are six things you need to know about her.
1. She was the winner of Australia's Search for a Supermodel
In 2002, Trunfio left her small-town life (she grew up in Merredin, Western Australia) to pursue big dreams after winning Australia's Search for a Supermodel competition. As part of her prize, she got a contract with Ford modelling agency and was required to move to New York — and the rest is history.
2. Her jewellery line is filled with pieces she loves
Trunfio started by creating pieces of jewellery that she really loved and wanted to wear herself, pieces which she describes as "simple, plain, key pieces."
3. She's garnering a celebrity following
Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley reportedly attended the New York launch of Trunfio's brand and proudly showed off the pieces on Instagram, while Kendall Jenner has also proven to be a fan.
Trunfio told Daily Telegraph that she's thrilled Jenner likes her brand — and it certainly helps business to have someone as famous as the supermodel giving her stamp of approval.
4. She's happily married
Trunfio is married to American musician Gary Clark Jr. The pair were married in April of 2016 on their fourth-anniversary (after meeting at Coachella Music Festival) at the Colony Palms Hotel, Palm Springs.
5. She loves being a mama
In November of 2014, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together, and just a few months later in January 2015 they welcomed their son, Zion Rain.
Trunfio loved her pregnancy and was more than ready to be a mom. Prior to the birth of her son, she gave an interview to Who magazine, explaining how she was "ready to be a mum for such a long time."
"I was saying to Gary, we might have a gang of children because I feel so happy," she said at the time.
6. Her husband's not the only musical one
In 2013, Trunfio was briefly in a band called Henry Blak, International Business Times reports. However, they only released one single, titled "Kill Me."
Oh, and did we mention her jewellery line is amazing? This is definitely not going to be the last we hear about Nicole Trunfio.
