Sister Wives' Maddie broke all her daddy's rules & served booze at her wedding
One of the Sister Wives kids is pushing boundaries.
The new season of the TLC reality series premiered Sunday, and viewers got an inside look at how Kody Brown and his daughter Madison handled a big part of her wedding planning: booze.
The extremely religious Brown family doesn't drink alcohol — at least, Kody and his four wives don't. Apparently, there are some members of the extended family who do, hence Maddie's decision to serve some drinks when she tied the knot. Only one problem: Kody wasn't exactly pleased with the idea.
"Some of the family drinks, some of the family does not drink, OK?" he tells her during an on-camera wedding-planning sesh. "Are you going to have a drink limit? Because we don't want it getting funky... Because about two-thirds doesn't even drink. But that other third would get sloshed."
And apparently, the family isn't the only problem.
"Yes, there is going to be alcohol at our wedding," Maddie says in a one-on-one interview with the camera. "Caleb and I both have friends that don't know when a limit is a limit, especially when the alcohol is provided. We wanted to see if we can get a bartender or someone who will monitor, so that if someone's really intoxicated, they don't make a fool of themselves or say something really stupid."
The footage is from earlier in the year — Maddie and her fiancé, Caleb Brush, got married in June and are now expecting their first kid. Clearly, the drunken antics at their wedding weren't too terrible because they made it through and seem happier than ever.
