Everything you need to know about Kendall Jenner’s 21st birthday party
When you’re a normal person, turning 21 is a pretty big deal. When you’re Kendall Jenner, you take it to the absolute next level and wear a bespoke $9,000 dress covered in Swarovski crystals, which happens to be inspired by the dress Paris Hilton wore when she turned 21. That’s just how it goes.
Designer Antoine Salameh of LaBourjoisie called the frock “the perfect party dress because it’s very lightweight and easy to move in.” Jenner’s b-day party had a 1920s theme, and Salameh added that they used that as a jumping-off point. “We went off of Kendall’s ’20s reference and we wanted to give her a modern take on it; like Kendall, the dress is timeless and chic,” Salameh, who collaborated with go-to Kardashian stylist Monica Rose, told People. “She sent over reference images and I took it from there. It’s young, sexy and fun.” We’re not sure how ‘20s it is, but it is most certainly young, sexy and fun.
Jenner and her crew kicked off the night at Catch seafood restaurant in LA, then had a quick costume change and moved the party to notorious hot spot Delilah, where she danced on tables, used her very own Snapchat filter (seriously!) and of course, received a new Rolls Royce. Casual.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were in the building, though they kept it low-key (and avoided any photos). “They were very chill all night,” a source told People. “Kim got on the mic at one point and said something funny and that was about it. She seemed pretty upbeat.”
Guests at Delilah included Kylie Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Caitlyn Jenner, Kris Jenner, Corey Gamble, Scott Disick, Hailey Baldwin, Madison Beer, Big Sean, Jhené Aiko, Will.i.am, Travis Scott, Chris Brown, Cindy Crawford, Kaia Gerber and Paris Hilton herself, according to TMZ.
Kris Jenner took to Instagram today (Kendall’s actual birthday) to wish her daughter the best birthday ever. “Happy 21st birthday my sweet angel,” she wrote. “You are so beautiful inside and out.” Many happy returns!
