Lopez and Anthony split in 2011, and they pretty much had the most amicable divorce of all time. They’re still great friends who support each other both personally and professionally, like when Lopez surprised Anthony during one of his concerts in August to sing “No Me Ames,” a song they wrote and produced together back in the ’90s. She later posted a photo on Instagram, calling Anthony “familia” even though they’ve been divorced for five years.
And they still combine their professional talents and create together, which is great for them but also for the rest of the world, because their music is fire.
First, they worked together on “No Me Ames.” Since then, they’ve collabed on a whole bunch of singles, and Anthony had a huge hand in Lopez’s 2007 Spanish album Como Ama una Mujer.
Now they’re working together again on an entire album — Lopez’s second Spanish album — which is being executive produced by Anthony and his recording company, Magnus Media. They’ll reportedly be dropping their first single from the new album next month, and the full album is set for release sometime in 2017. We seriously can’t wait.
“I am so excited and really looking forward to this new musical journey and to celebrate my Latin roots with Marc Anthony and the Sony/Magnus family,” Lopez said about her latest venture with Anthony.
