Shannen Doherty's love for her husband makes us cry happy tears
Shannen Doherty is going through an incredibly difficult time in her life, but thankfully she isn't battling breast cancer on her own: Her husband of five years, Kurt Iswarienko, is right by her side.
On Monday, Doherty took to Instagram to pay tribute to Iswarienko and gush about the incredible love and unwavering support he has given her. She shared a photo from their wedding day, and she gave it a tear-jerking caption — seriously, we dare you to not cry while reading it.
Doherty began by saying she had accepted the "Love Your Spouse Challenge" from her good friend Sarah Michelle Gellar, and she was particularly thankful for the challenge, because when looking through old photos, she came across one from their wedding day. "Our wedding was exceptional and not for the big event it was. It was exceptional because we committed for better or worse, in sickness or in health to love and cherish one another," she wrote. "Those vows have never meant more than they do now. Kurt has stood by my side thru sickness and makes me feel more loved now than ever. I would walk any path with this man. Take any bullet for him and slay every dragon to protect him. He is my soul mate. My other half. I am blessed."
It's a beautiful picture, but it's the words that accompany it that are truly beautiful (and we aren't the only ones who shed a tear while reading the post). Many fans have commented on the post, sharing just how moved they are.
"The Kinda Love that makes ya wanna cry Happy tears....That's great Shannen...Beautiful Wedding pic too," tonybaccidesigns commented.
"What a gorgeous photo, your words made me all emotional. Thanks for sharing!" appelsuus shared. And jbh0521 was also touched by the post. They wrote, "Love the gown, the photo, but most of all, the commitment you have to one another @theshando. Blessings to you both!"
Doherty's post is a wonderful reminder to be thankful for the good times and the people we have in our lives, no matter how difficult your current circumstances may be — and we love it.
