Ten bucks says Miley Cyrus & Adam Levine make The Voice all about their feud
The new season of The Voice is right around the corner, and the first promo video for the season — including its new judges, Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys — has us counting the days until the fighting begins.
And when we say fighting, we really mean fighting. The teaser shows that this season promises some healthy feuds between judges, especially newcomer Cyrus and longtime judge Adam Levine.
In the video, Levine is shown trying to sway a contestant to join his team, saying, "I know how to win this show. I've won three times." Cyrus shoots back, "You've won three times? We're on the 11th season. It's basic math." Levine, still confident, responds, "Three out of 10 is 30 percent. I'll take it." Meanwhile, the show's other longtime judge, Blake Shelton, looks on laughing, saying, "She's so right. I'm so happy right now" — Shelton has won the show four times.
While Levine and Cyrus are fighting it out over win percentages, Shelton and Keys are getting into it on their side of the stage. At one point, Shelton looks over to Keys and asks, "Are you trying to intimidate me?" She quickly replies, "Are you intimidated?" Shelton laughs and says to her, "I don't know yet."
The new judges are sure to bring their own style and pizazz to the show's 11th season. Cyrus, who is known as much for her colorful, outlandish style as she is for her music, muses about how she can jazz up her water cup. "This one is boring," she says, holding up the black cup. "I want, like, a rainbow cup." While Levine tells her no way, Shelton and Keys encourage her to "bedazzle it." Levine agrees with that, telling her, "You should put some shit on that cup." Cyrus is all about it. "Yeah," she says. "I want to bejewel it."
