Total Divas’ star Eva Marie has been suspended from the WWE for the next 30 days. Marie failed the wellness test the organization puts all its athletes through, so she will not be allowed to participate in anything for the next month.
Marie hasn’t given any official statement reacting to the ruling or the failed test results, but her husband has a lot to say about what’s going on. In a tweet that he has since deleted, Jonathan Coyle said, “When the public finds out why my wife was unjustly suspended they will be absolutely outraged! Official statement and facts coming soon.”
He didn’t expand on what the facts are or why the WWE would unjustly suspend Marie, but he’s clearly very upset about what happened to her.
It’s very endearing that Coyle is sticking up for his wife and her career. He’s clearly very upset at the people who put her in this situation. It is hard to believe that the WWE would want one of its stars to sit out for an entire month rather than working for them and ultimately making them more money, but that’s not to say that it isn’t possible.
The WWE didn’t release information on which part of their wellness test Marie failed, so it could be a whole host of things. But because it’s her first infraction, she was only given a 30-day suspension. If she continues to fail the tests, she will suffer even longer suspensions.

Don't ever let anyone else dictate how you live your life, live the way you want, and how God would want you to live. I don't sweat the small stuff, those little speed bumps in life are inevitable. Instead I focus on the positives, and do everything I can to keep my life at a balance and moving forward. – I think sometimes we get so caught up in "life" that we forget to actually LIVE. Don't let yourself become a robot and miss out on experiences, people, and special moments. We weren't put on this earth to work, pay bills, and die. We were put on this earth for a purpose, and my purpose is to inspire people, be an amazing wife and daughter, and also a light to those who need it. I hope all of you are having a great week, keep your head up always! 😘❤️💋 – Natalie
Although she hasn’t made an official statement, Marie did post to her Instagram, saying, “Don’t ever let anyone else dictate how you live your life, live the way you want, and how God would want you to live. I don’t sweat the small stuff, those little speed bumps in life are inevitable. Instead I focus on the positives, and do everything I can to keep my life at a balance and moving forward.”
It sounds like she’s trying the best she can to be positive about the experience. Hopefully the whole mess will be cleaned up the way that Coyle predicts and Marie can get back in the ring and in front of her fans.
