After all the fantasy dates and rose ceremonies, it’s difficult for couples from The Bachelor to keep the romance alive. But for Lauren Bushnell and Ben Higgins, all they have to do is recreate one of the best parts of The Bachelor dates — breakfast in bed.
Bushnell sat down with Us Weekly to talk about all things love with Higgins. She explained they both appreciate the small gestures during the day that prove they love each other. She said, “I’ve been getting up extra early and making him breakfast. I can tell that he really appreciates it, so getting up early, I’ll have the coffee made, I put his mug out and I make him breakfast in the morning, and I’m not a morning person so that’s, like, a big step for me.”

As for Higgins, Bushnell said, “He shows his love through verbal communications. There’s not a day that goes by that [I don’t] A) know he loves me and B) have all his support and know he’s my biggest fan.”
If we’re being real, not many Bachelor couples have lasted, so these small gestures will start to add up in a big way as the pressures of real life start to wear on the couple. It’s a good sign that they’re both so dedicated to showing each other how much they appreciate the other.
But their growing love doesn’t mean that they’re hurrying to get married. Bushnell admitted “wedding plans are pretty much at the start.”

But, she said, “We definitely started talking about it more, and I think we both agreed that August we actually want to sit down and start planning, so that includes setting a date, that includes the place. We have been throwing around some locations, and I think we’ve narrowed it down to the area that we want to get married. We’re thinking 2017.”
One detail they have decided on is that the cameras will be there. Bushnell knows that it is important to Bachelor fans that they see the pair’s vows and wants to make sure they can enjoy the couple’s special day with them.

In the meantime, though, it sounds like Bushnell and Higgins are enjoying life together in Denver and we’re very happy for them.
