According to Life & Style, Vanderpump rakes in $2 million per season of the show, which apparently has Richards upping her rate substantially.
“She believes she should get $1.5 million per season, with additional money for appearing at the reunion,” an unnamed show insider told the outlet.
Unfortunately for Richards, she isn’t a regular housewife anymore, but a “friend” of the show, which is a role that she would reportedly be lucky to get $150,000 per season for, depending on how frequently she appeared.
But Richards thinks she’s a hot commodity, especially now that Yolanda Foster is out of the show. The insider also told Life & Style that Richards thinks she’s the one who will carry the drama for the upcoming season, a role she thinks is worth the big bucks.
According to the insider, Bravo execs don’t agree. At all. In fact, they reportedly think Richards is “delusional” to demand that kind of cash.
This report definitely contradicts Life & Style‘s article last November, in which they reported that Richards was returning to RHOBH as a “friend” and wasn’t getting paid anything at all. As they stated previously, Richards just wanted the good PR after her debacles with the law and addiction.
Though it is also important to note that Richards’ sister Kathy Hilton was rumored to be covering Richards’ expenses while she focused on her recovery and health last year. Maybe Hilton decided she was turning that faucet off and now Richards needs the cash.
Do you believe Richards would really demand such a huge salary increase for RHOBH?
